Joique Bell is one of the hardest working running backs in the pros. After a successful football and academic career at Wayne State University in Detroit, Bell entered the NFL in 2010 as a running back for the Buffalo Bills. His talent carried him through the Eagles, the Colts and the Saints before he found his niche back home with the Detroit Lions.
But his road to becoming a professional athlete wasn’t an easy one; it was the direct result of his unwavering determination and commitment to his sport. See, passion for the game like Joique’s is palpable. And it’s matched only by his commitment to his own body and knowing exactly what kind of fuel he’s putting into it.
That’s why P4 is proud to announce an official partnership with Professional Running Back Joique Bell. Bell discovered the benefits of P4 during his 2014 season. “I do my research. I do my due diligence on what I put into my body. [That’s why] I was all for it.” Between the gym, practice and games, Bell is pushing his entire body to its limits up to 12 hours in a single day during the season: circuits, 1000 yards of strikes, bands workout, heavy legs and upper body workouts, bench press off the floor, pulldowns, curls, triceps weight training, neck workout to avoid injuries/concussions. And that may just be his Thursday. “I take P4 Pregame 20 minutes prior to my workout to give it time to get into my system. It definitely gives you clean energy. And when I’m done working out, I don’t crash.”
And, for Bell, the fact that the product was born in Detroit made it even better. “Detroit is my home. That’s what sets me apart [from my competitors]. I’m playing for more. I’ve been here through the hard times and the struggles. When you take a player’s passion for the game and then you add it to the passion he has for his community, it gives you more motivation.”
Bell says there’s a special kind of pride that comes with being a “Michigan kid” and finding success in Detroit.
